Eyebrow Piercing

Eyebrow Piercing

What is an eyebrow piercing?

An eyebrow piercing is a type of body piercing where a piece of jewelry is inserted through the eyebrow. They are usually placed vertically through the eyebrow ridge, though we perform several variations of this.

Average Heal Time: 6 to 9 months

Recommended Downsize Timeframe: 3 to 4 months

Example of an Eyebrow Piercing

Common “triggers” for eyebrow piercings

  • Contaminating the piercing with makeup, skin care, oil from hair (bangs, fringes, etc.)
  • Not thoroughly dry wiping as described in step 3 of the aftercare routine.

How to take care of your eyebrow piercing

  1. Rinse the piercing on either side with water. This is to be saved as the last step before exiting out of the shower. You can also rinse the piercing at a sink.
  2. Spray sterile saline directly on either side of the piercing.
  3. After several minutes have passed, dry wipe where the jewelry goes in and comes out. This is the only time we recommend moving the jewelry if you have to to wipe. Wipe under each bead on either side of the piercing and the surrounding skin.

*If need be- you can hold the opposite side of the jewelry as you wipe as well as lightly pushing it away from your eyebrow to better wipe the entrance.

**Wipe with only DRY, paper towel or gauze. We do not recommend q-tips or cotton products as this can cause fiber buildup on the jewelry, especially with prong styles.
